@gruber You left an important part out of this analysis—control. If I pirate something, it's often in an open source format that I then control. I can do literally anything with the video—screenshot it, reference it, and it's stored locally for me. Whereas paying now gets me streaming access, no ability to do anything but watch...and the access itself can disappear on a corporate whim at any time.

You should really rework this—I wish that the scenarios looked this good for paying.
