I never thought I’d hear this in person, but in case you didn’t know, it can kill you and is the main reason we have food safety agencies today.

I wanted to blog, I've been trying it for years (like 15). I wanted to have interesting projects and I've had a few. I've yet to find a platform that isn't too complicated. Jekyll, Nanoc, Bridgetown, Gastby, all of them, pretty awful for me trying to find a way to say something. Obsidian publish has been ok, but isn't quite that.

Maybe I'm just a person who doesn't do this sort of thing is my fate. Maybe I'm just boring. Perhaps.

I tried to go back to Jekyll for running my personal website but found it a total pain in the ass to do things like customize CSS or customize it in any meaningful way without overriding stuff in gems. I’d like a ruby static site generator, is nanoc a better option? Kind of tired of using obsidian publish due to lack of customization but I don’t want something completely difficult to use to just write some things down. #blogging #ruby

I switched my desktop from Windows to Fedora a couple days ago to get some work done on a machine that didn't suck. I haven't used KDE seriously since KDE3 when it did super cool things like be able to handle URL's in Konqueror.

That said, I can't believe Gnome is the default experience. It was buggy as hell and ugly. I am not a fan of the whole start bar UX, but this is so much more polished than I imagined and I'm switching.
