This advice goes against the scientific principle that keeping doing the same thing and expecting different results is insanity.

However the results from doing the same thing can often be measured. And measuring things is science.

I've got good at Guitar, Linux, Freestyle BMX, Martial Arts, Team Coaching, got a degree in Physics and Maths, I'm OK at Complexity Science, I've learned design and drawing. 35mm photography too.

I've also read loads of books, and never got good at anything from books by themselves.

I've written up some patterns that I've noticed that can be used to learn from experts.

Ideally you'd be the sort of person who has ideas to share, and wants to communicate with visuals. - And who can articulate what might need improving.

Can I create lists of hashtags? would that work?

There were stories about how burnout can arrive fast when you're focused or slowly with a long steady low intensity effort.

Examples of having words to describe what might be going on seemed important - how you can only notice things you have a word for, so 'reframe', 'rumination' and 'active rest' were vital ideas.

Also this example of not being able to smell something without a word shows how having names for things might affect us.
