This is concerning Meta’s recent Fediverse activity and Smutlandia. We know for certain that Threads is being tested on the Fediverse using the domain “threads DOT net”. This is just a testing phase and it looks like only Meta engineers’ Threads accounts are being found so far on Mastodon. We have gone on ahead and done a federation block on that domain for Smutlandia. We currently assume another domain will be used for the official launch whenever that is.

Greetings Smutlandia citizens and Mastodon neighbors! Frustrating news. We are experiencing issues with media sharing on our server. If you have a hard time getting at photos and the like, that is why. Preliminary investigation found that Google Cloud Platform is having networking issues across multiple web products in some of their US servers, which is affecting our media storage abilities. @the_yeti and I will keep tabs on this. Internet kudos go to @nobilis for pinging us.
