With SpiderHarp, a team at Oregon State flipped this around to *make* music. A robot spider sits in a web of steel and orange cord, 'listening' to vibrations like real spiders do. A musician turns the web into a harp to make music.

C is reserved for classical when possible, while A, B, D, E, F, G are tuned chronologically based on local stations. The sharps/flats are tuned in between stations, picking up static and overlapping dialog.

The first session was full of practical info about how large language models work, and grounded discussion of potential risks and harms. All without dismissing the possibility of ethical and useful applications.
Highly recommend for journalists/anyone that's trying to cut through all the noise about AI and LLMs right now.
