There has long been talk of a “brain drain”, with UK (and European) scientists being lured across the pond.
In the light of the orange doofus & his fellow doofi shitting on science & scientists, this is an opportunity to run the drain the other way.

We’ve hit up loads of local companies with no success so far. I said as a fallback she could come work for my company (started with a friend, 15 years ago).
“That’s cheating”.
“Plenty of kids will be working for their parents’ companies”.
“Yeah, but most parents have real jobs”.
Ouch!

I’m reading a Sherlock Holmes book written in the 19th century and it refers to a vegetarian restaurant in London.

Very satisfying. I should check how many words it could have been at line 3. Will be disappointing if it was only 1 or 2.

On the way back the M25 came to a standstill due to snow, and we spent a cold night on the M25. The only food was chocolates I’d bought for my sister’s impending birthday.
Tomorrow I’m going to my Aunt’s funeral in Suffolk. I’ve bought loads of snack bars, fruit, & chocolate. Taking a blanket, & considering a thermos.
I think my Aunt would find this funny.

Weirdly, the main locus of pain afterwards is my right shoulder (there’s a nerve bundle there). Some people get it in both shoulders.
Laughing, coughing, sitting up/down, etc, cause discomfort at the keyhole sites, but it’s the shoulder pain that’s the bastard RN. Not continual, and variable in intensity.
