My gall bladder was removed via keyhole surgery: 4 keyholes are cut, the biggest at your belly button, you’re inflated, then after they’ve detached the GB it comes out of the big incision. Weirdly, the main locus of pain afterwards is my right shoulder (there’s a nerve bundle there). Some people get it in both shoulders.

Laughing, coughing, sitting up/down, etc, cause discomfort at the keyhole sites, but it’s the shoulder pain that’s the bastard RN. Not continual, and variable in intensity.
