Of course, I don't think these exceptions are good enough, and wish it also included YouTube uploads. However, at least it doesn't seem like purchased Play Store apps will disappear from what I can tell.

- the UI of Mastodon indicates 4 failures. There were 9.
- The import seems to not be able to follow GoToSocial instances.
- There's an account I can't follow, that is also not moderated away. I only noticed the instance URL being similar to a banned instance URL, but the instance URL itself is not banned.

Anyway, time for more research, I guess.

If mastodon.social gets defederated from the rest of the fediverse for some reason, that would mean that, in my opinion, I could no longer recommend it to anyone not as technologically inclined, which would be disappointing.
