For the past year+, I've been using #Duolingo to keep my basic French and Spanish #language skills up, as well as to learn Italian. In anticipation of this potential Basel, Switzerland trip next month, I'm trying to learn some German (since Duolingo does not offer the local Swiss German dialect).

It's not going well. Not sure why, but I'm having the worst time with vocabulary. I can be polite & order a beer, but that's about it so far.

Apparently the RNC has filled 6,000 poll watcher positions in #Pennsylvania this year, compared with 1,000 in 2020. Luckily, poll watchers can only function in counties where they live--which means I may have to be more strict re: checking poll watcher ID this year. I'd be curious to see a heat map of where these trained poll watchers reside--I'm guess it's a preponderance of rural counties.

The only thing left to do is review #Pennsylvania #PollWatcher rules so I'm confident about what they're allowed to do in my precinct.

I somehow missed that the Wisconsin GOP is suing to stop military #election ballots from being counted because someone in her party who was fired for election tampering sent in 3 fake ballots that were immediately identified. It's amazing to me that veterans & active military could vote for people who find their service (and voices) so unimportant.

Question for the #postmenopausal folks: when menstruation stopped for you, did you still get monthly cramps? Sort of like ghost cramps akin to the ghost feelings one gets when a limb is amputated, I guess. Because this is happening to me, and I'm irritated about it.
