When talking them through the voting process today my spirts were lifted when they wrapped the conversation up with the following statement: "Dad, I hope that when I tell my kids about the first time I voted I'll be able to say my vote put the first women in the White House"

I agree that you cannot expect mid level experience for entry positions but firms should expect some practical experience for careers requiring college degrees. Education blended with internships & real experience is the best way to separate yourself from the herd.

Also, for my industry (construction/engineering) your timeline seems aggressive. In my world management doesn't start at 5yrs & the C Suite doesn't open by 10yrs.

Frankly time will soon cure the issue of Boomers holding on to homes but this repeats with GenX if there aren't tax & other financial incentives to downsize. I don't think ADUs & building condos in single family home communities is the answer. I can't see a future where I opt to live in a shed in my backyard as my downsize option.

I am enjoying the #Shogun series so far but it's starting to feel like the Amazon Prime Rings of Power series. It is beautifully filmed, the cast, music, and costumes are great but each episode ends without any climax or closure.

A good series has a mini story with closure in each episode while progressing the underlying theme. Shogun is starting to feel like a 7 hour movie that hasn't gotten to the point yet.

I like it but I am prepared for a full let down in the final episodes.

I find a lot of great information here, can carry on respectful conversations without anyone yelling, there is image assistance for the visually impaired, and it seems to filled with people that can at least read. It's delightful actually.
