This week has reminded me just how dangerous the modern reboot of anti-LGBTQ+ moral panic is, and it's not confined to keyboard warriors.

After verbal abuse in the street, I've spent ages block-block-blocking those who defended the bigot and used it as a prompt for even more homophobia / biphobia / transphobia / general conspiracy bullshit.

I spend a lot less time on Twitter / X these days, but seriously if they get rid of the block, I'm out for good.

Got off the Eurostar this morning to a pile-on by all the worst people in Scottish politics. Apparently I’m guilty of “bullying” a journalist. Cue abuse from free speech warriors who think they can call me a deviant and a pervert but I can’t call out prejudice when I see it.
My offence? In a 1200 word article last year, I wrote *one paragraph* about transphobia, including from Holyrood magazine. For clarity here is the paragraph. I stand by every word.
