I have signed this statement opposing the adoption of the #IHRA definition of #Antisemitism by the #UnitedNations.

My commitment to the Jewish community is primarily a commitment to Jewish self-determination. Any attempt to force an illusion of consensus in the name of "combating antisemitism" is at best misguided & at worst a deliberate strategy to undermine the vibrancy and diversity of living Jewish communities, by setting artificial limits on intra-communal debate

Today's #DafYomi reminds me of the time I was expelled from the study hall for suggesting that the Rashi gloss on Gen1:27 was influenced by Plato and the rebbitzen tried to tell me that actually Plato had gotten the idea for the Symposium from Rashi.

There's this cultural imaginary of a Jew-Greek binary that makes it somehow shocking to remember that Chazal were pretty embedded in Greek culture.

I spent the morning taking the Swedish language placement test, and since the last time I took it my reading has improved from B1 to B2 standard (I'm slow and I have a headache after, but I *can* read), my writing has improved to a solid B1, and my listening skills are still... A1. Ugh.
