OK, folks, I'm going to try using @pengfold@social.ty-penguin.org.uk as my main #fediverse account. The big servers are obviously struggling under the load from twitter refugees, so I can presumably free up a little bit of load by moving to my own instance.

I'm using #GotoSocial, which is alpha test software, so I'm not going to do a full migration and will leave this account idle, just in case things go horribly wrong.

Expect a bunch of follow requests from my personal instance in the next few minutes!
