Reflecting on the (inevitable) changes in culture that will result at Mastodon from the influx of Twt refugees — I recall how etiquette at Twitter changed too.
When I first set up, subtweeting was frowned upon (whatever one’s motives) & @-ing was encouraged. Shortly after, using @-mentions was seen as provoking harassment — & it truly could be, in the hands of trolls & shit-posters.

We’ll survive here.
I think tighter #moderation, (while maybe unpopular at times) will save us.
