How do folks think the differences between psychological subjectivity and the sorts of subjectivities theorized in the humanities? Any favourite literature?

25.3.2023 01:47(thankfully, I got my work permit, so this time I was granted a few more years of reprieve)I was reading Stoner on the bus, drawn to what it says about life in the university, when I got an email saying there was an update on my work permit application. Didn't have the immigration portal's login details on me, so I spent the next few hours anxious if I was still going to have the life I had begun to relate to. Every so often, immigration regimes will remind you that almost none of the threads of your life are yours to unspool.

I am very smart
25.2.2023 19:10I am very smartseems to me that a significant problem with political pedagogy is that learning happens best in small, semi-structured spaces for interaction and thoughtful discussion, but organizing and mobilization often requires education at scale. How to work through this tension?

Figured I'd share a few from across the years that have been part of this revival (no Eminem):
#1. Brick Body Kids Still Daydream, Open Mike Eagle (https://open.spotify.com/album/1VDnqZVFSg0xVF104kaIix?si=2-X1EGRFRhetZn8oEqO3mA)
the interplay of buildings and bodies here is such a strong, well-done concept + Mike's such an assured lyricist, the mood set here is so immersive

Twitter I think one if my least favourite things about Mastodon is how much of the conversation on this platform centers on the mechanics of the platform itself. I don't buy the argument that Mastodon isn't better owing to its technological affordances - imo it is - but for me too much of the conversation on its culture is tied up w its form
