A swimming hole is a delightful little pocket of deep, still water, somewhere off the beaten path, usually surrounded by embankments, maybe a few good-sized rocks to jump off of, and (preferably) a rope swing, where people go to swim, drink beer, smoke weed, and generally act foolish. They're huge fun!

I'm conducting an experiment of sorts. I have the misfortune of living in an area of Pennsylvania that's predominantly inhabited by trump fanatics. I am a "Never trumper." My car is getting its annual safety inspection rn, and there are numerous decals on the back of it that detail my hatred for that twat. It'll be interesting to see if my car passes inspection, or if the maga mechanics will fabricate some pricey problems.

My partner doesn't understand me. It's my autistic tendencies that get us into our worst conflicts. I say what I see or think with very little filtration. I don't know how to be anything BUT blunt and to-the-point. He claims I have no empathy, but my inner life is a rollercoaster of laughter and tears on other people's behalf. I'm just not very good at letting go and showing it openly. He doesn't "get" me and I'm so tired of being misunderstood.

I live in PA, usa (🤮), where today is the day that the results of our midterm election are supposed to be certified. Unfortunately, thanks to the constant barrage of lies being pushed by Mango Mussolini (trump), and a shortage of ballots that occurred in Luzerne County, there are people contesting the outcome. They want to make PA a red (conservative) state even though we elected a Democrat Governor and Senator.

I am filled with trepidation and dread.
