2/ I remember arguments in the gay community about bisexuality. How bi-women would undermine lesbian safe spaces. How bi people were 'playing' both sides. 'Refusing to admit' they were actually gay.

And now, the same arguments are being re-hashed. Against Trans people.

Those arguments were wrong then.

And they are wrong now. That's all.

I've just read a thread where the writer suggests that the bullying attitude shown by some transphobes is actually creating more trans allies than enemies.

That rings true for me.

I remember the arguments around Section 28. How children would be at risk. How teens would be 'turned gay'. How 'promoting' homosexuality (by tolerating it) threatened marriage and even lead to the acceptance of bestiality or paedophilia. 1/

I don't normally talk about Twitter here, for obvious reasons. But I do have to say it's been a lot pleasanter since I discovered the Shinigami Eyes extension.

Sadly doesn't work (afaik) with phone operating systems, but works across many social media platforms on my laptop.

It basically highlights who's trans friendly and who isn't. Makes blocking a whole lot easier. And helps my blood pressure no end!

Strong recommend.
