Finally watching #StrangeNewWorlds and it is an absolute power move to give Pike foreknowledge of his "death".

Takes away all the dramatic irony, puts the character on the same level as the audience, and gets rid of that prequel hangup.

My only complaint is, naturally, that all this "you'll be fine, get on with it" chat is so belittling of trauma. I really hope they don't drop the PTSD-type experiences after a week.

I've been querying it for over a year and my perfect agent just said no to the full.

I've hit up every agent that represents my combination of genres and, while I have a few outstanding queries/partials/fulls, I don't think it's going anywhere.

It was the book of my heart, but I need to let it go now.

Plenty of books still to write.
