The nice thing about this is during the process i found out i can use #flatpak sources in my #ubuntu installation. i also discovered the huge (start up) speed difference of #firefox running as #snap vs running as flatpak or just a deb package. and i found 'gnome-software' which is a very elegant solution for installing and managing software from all these different sources. (the prepackaged snap software solution from ubuntu itself is very confusing and it seems it can't even update itself!)

After spending quite some time setting it up, the result of my struggle to get #keepassxc working with #firefox on my #ubuntu: run firefox from the deb PPA source, and get keepassxc also from its respective PPA. then ensure you update apparmor configuration to allow socket communication between both apps. the error messages from the keepassxc browser plugin are quite unhelpful especially if apparmor is blocking traffic.

running either from #flatpak or #snap sources did not seem to work.
