Exciting (?) day today. Yesterday the news was about a Red Panda which absconded from the Dortmund Zoo. When we set off to drive to my wife's painting class, we got stuck in a huge traffic jam. After about 15 stationary minutes (with a police blue light ahead), we saw a turntable ladder blocking the road, with the top end somewhere in the trees at the side of the road. /2

On the local radio we heard they had discovered the Red Panda in the tree, just across the road from the Zoo area. It was obviously going to take some time, so we turned round and took a (long) detour. Tonight we heard they finally - after two hours - managed to get the little absconder.

Now he's home and so are we. 😄

Heute Abend was anderes probiert. Da wir ein spätes üppiges Frühstück hatten, gab's heute Antipasti in Form von Mortadella, Porchetta, Parmaschinken, Salami, Oliven, Peperoni, Gorgonzola, Birne und Ciabatta. Dazu einen süffigen Rotwein 🍷. Werden wir wieder machen!
