Unique Universal ID…. Maybe add another 32 bytes to make them extra unique? What a mess.

Currently using Bitwarden. Having a cli or an autotype feature is critical for me since the Citrix client does not allow paste in the password field.

For bw I created a simple AppleScript to do this using the cli: https://github.com/ikzelf/autotype_bitwarden

Hoe moeilijk zou het zijn voor verenigingen zoals #scoutingnl om diensten zoals #Mastodon en #pixelfed aan te bieden voor hun leden? Nu zijn die veelal overgeleverd aan META en dat is momenteel nou nèt niet de vriendelijke veilige omgeving om ideeën en ervaringen in uit te wisselen.

Ik merkte de laatste weken dat er spam binnen kwam op een adres dat ik exclusief voor bol gebruikte.
Even in de instellingen data data sharing en gebruik aangepast. Vervolgens een nieuw adres aangemaakt en klaar. Wat dit betreft is hide my email best handig.

It’s usable from libpq clients and also from jdbc clients. Sadly enough with different keywords for the same usages.

It’s not really new but easily overlooked. Most useful with slaves and a master database.

Like the host can contain a list in both. In the original, port is optional, in the jdbc implementation the port list should have the same length as the host list length.

Most important is option to specify the serverType or target_session_attrs (standby/primary/prefer-standby…)

One of the things that annoyed me in #Postgres, coming from oracle is/was the lack of a tnsnames equivalent.
In the meantime this exists in the form of the pg_services.conf file.
Too bad there are two implementations. One for the world and one for Java. This gives an extra challenge when you need a regular Postgres client and a Jdbc client on the same host.
They both pickup the default files but expect different keywords.
I use PGSERVICEFILE env for libpq progs and -Dorg.postgresql.pgservicefile
