- Almost nothing between Edinburgh, Connacht, Cardiff and Ospreys, all 5 to 7 points off the 8th spot
- Lions, Scarlets, and Dragons scrapping around the bottom 4
- Zebre just not able to get going this season

- Connacht are 15 points off 7th, which is realistically what they'd need to qualify for Europe unless Cardiff stay up. Still, they've yet to play two of the sides lower than them in the table so if they can do a job there, and if they can pull wins off against Lions & Edinburgh then they may just be in with a shot.

- Ulster are one loss away from falling into the chasing pack from 4th to 6th, who only have a projected 6 points difference between them. Given that they have games against Glasgow, Bulls, and must be praying for a reschedule against Sharks now, it is a tough road ahead.

- Munster are still in the fight for qualification, smack bang in the middle of the group from 7th through 11th with only 7 points between them. Lions & Benetton games are key for them as a result.

A tale of 3 parts to that match. A tight, well-matched fast-paced game gave way to more of a broken-up tussle in midfield in the second half. But come the final quarter Leinster flexed their handling muscle and put Connacht to the sword.

A shame Connacht don't come away with something as the scoreline doesn't do them justice.

However, Johnny coming off with a big dent in his face is a worry, possibly for the next 2-6 weeks.
