About that whole #olympic #boxing drama going on .. the question of "should trans women compete in women boxing" is completely irrelevant here.

Imane Khelif has been competing against other women for ages, including the 2020 Olympics and the 2022 World Championships. She was tested several times, and there weren't any issues. You know when the issues began?

During the World Championships of 2023 she won against a Russian boxer, Azalia Amineva. Shortly afterwards the International boxing association, IBA, which is financed and controlled by Russian entities (Gazprom finances it, Umar Kremlev - a Russian national with direct ties to the Kremlin - is president), tests Khelif again and all of a sudden - remember, she has been competed and regularly been tested before that without any issues - she fails the test and is disqualified.

The IBA, citing privacy concerns, refused to comment what kind of test it was. All they officially said it that it wasn't a Testosterone test. Later, during a TV-interview, someone (IIRC Putin) said that it was a DNA-test and that they "had found XY chromosomes".

Since then Khelif has taken part in several other competitions and tested again. Including by the IOC - who, by the way, completely severed their ties with the IBA after corruption scandals, boycotts of competitions by multiple nations / other organisations because of the IBA and a host of other issues - which found no issues.

Just to recap: There is no information, test result, reasonable questions, anything that Khelif herself has talked about that would allude to any sort of chromosomal or hormonal difference, or "issue" with her sex and / or gender.

There is no evidence, not even circumstantial. All we have is one test that may or may not actually exist, performed by a thoroughly corrupt organization associated with Russia to which Khelif was subjected only after she beat a Russian athlete, with the results of that test only benefiting Russia.

In conclusion: Yeah, nah. Not buying that bullshit. Get fucked, bigots.

One of my systems is hosted with them, with their (seemingly) default resolvers in /etc/resolv.conf:

I was working on the system when suddenly all of my DNS-requests for the subdomains of one of my domains resolved to the following IP-address:

3[.]139[.]159[.]151

While I (nervously) started debugging, the resolvers started SERVFAIL'ing entirely for subdomains. I wasn't able to reproduce this behaviour with any other public resolver I tried.

Has anyone else had this happen? I'm strongly suspecting something that's wrong on the side of the resolvers, but I'm still not done debugging. Any input appreciated.

It's incredibly fun when your life is going reasonably well, your circumstances are safe, secure and (relatively) prosperous, yet your own brain is convinced that it and you are in constant danger of .. well, something, because neither your or your brain have any freakin' clue what this "danger" might be, but let's be anxious, just to be on the safe side.

Which in turn causes your body to be stressed, draining you of your energy and blessing you with all sorts of pain in various parts of it.

Ultimately you'll end up with a sunny day, (somewhat) interesting tasks at work and plenty of cool things you could do once the weekend starts.

But in all actuality you're confined to laying on your couch, with a heated blanked to curb the pain, desperately trying to get _some_ work done while you're exhausted and everything hurts in random intervals.

I know that things will get better, or at least I hope so. But man, this sucks on so many levels.
