I feel like we should be using the term “robber baron” more. From Wikipedia:
“By the late 19th century, the term was typically applied to businessmen who used exploitative practices to amass their wealth. Those practices included unfettered consumption and destruction of natural resources, influencing high levels of government, wage slavery, squashing competition by acquiring their competitors to create monopolies and/or trusts that control the market, and schemes to sell stock at inflated prices to unsuspecting investors.”
That sounds like some people I know…

The United States should be regarded as a rogue nation at this point. The only goal is more power and wealth for Donald Trump.
He’s a bully, and he has two of the biggest sticks in the world: the US military and the US economy. Using them as weapons is going to damage them.
The job and funding cuts combined with the tariffs and unpredictability seem likely to cause a recession.
The pogrom against trans people has started in the form of rule changes that outlaw their existence.
The pogrom against non-white people has started in the form of immigration raids, and the preparation of Guantánamo Bay to become a concentration camp. We all know this is about race, not citizenship.
“Pogrom” is a strong word, but, I fear, the correct one.

Advertisers loved this, and, of course, users universally hated it. It was so obnoxious, it became a browser feature to block these
Eventually, the technology advanced to the point that we can make pop up “windows” in CSS and JavaScript alone, and they’re back to being one of the worst things about the web.

@GreatOldBot I just did another update adding: *The Lurking Fear*, *The Shunned House,* and *The Silver Key*
I've also updated the bot to only have a 50% chance of posting every hour, so it will post less often

It currently has *At the Mountains of Madness* and *The Call of Cthulhu*
I had been kind of thinking of making a bot, but this particular one came about though a misunderstanding 😆
A friend thought I was suggesting I was going to make it, and thought it was a great idea. I hadn't been suggesting that, but I decided to do it anyway, because it sounded like a pretty simple (to my skill set) bot to start off with. I'll likely add some more texts soon.

I had trouble finding my own posts, and was curious which ones were most popular. I didn't find anything out there that solved my problem, so I made my own
So, this loads a list of your own posts. It excludes replies by default, but you can include them, and limit it to posts with media. Only images are displayed for now, and only the first if there are more than one. You can search the content of the posts.
It's far from perfect and not what I'd call "done," but it seems to be useful. Things like loading more than 40 posts are on the to-do list... and I'm just remembering I meant to make the link to the post more prominent than the tiny date, another to-do 😆
The source code is here: https://gitlab.com/stevenmcdonald/mallard if you want to see how it works or help me with my mediocre web design 😆
