Just a reminder that every proprietary tool can eventually pull off something similar to what Unity did. That is not to say that we should never use any proprietary tools, but being mentally prepared to switch to alternatives sounds like a good idea. Never get too attached to your tool. Now, when a company forces its terms retroactively, I just hope it's outright illegal in any normal country and that any court would obliterate the company for doing it. Fuck anyone who defends that. #unity

My intro! I'm a game developer who had been making games (or trying to make games) as a hobby since primary school until it became my full-time job, so I'm officially out of hobbies now. Made Butcher (2016) and Carrion (2020). The latter turned out to be successful enough to leave me miserably burned out. I'm trying to write something new in C++, but finding enough motivation seems to be the hardest of the problems I've encountered so far.
