@Gargron Like the follow suggestion carousel, but notice that it often recommends accounts that are no longer active, as in dead for a year and a half or more, not a great first impression for new users. Since active accounts are ~10% of the userbase, it’s highly likely to show users no longer active on Mastodon. Suggest adding a check for minimum post count and last post <30 days or something.

I would say anecdotally from my follows that this graph is pretty accurate. Twitter didn't burn down after all, works more or less the same, and content wise is kind of back to how it was when it got popular originally, so not worth the mental cost of moving for most people.
