This was Montes Appeninus on Tuesday night. I love the shadows cast by the tall peaks, and how the mountains are just dots at the far end of the range.

I went to try and get a snap of Pons-Brooks but got thwarted by some stubborn cloud unfortunately. Saw it visually through binoculars yesterday, it looked quite good. Still, a nice night to be out despite the occasional precipitation.
