When someone calls custom CSS properties "CSS variables" something in me wants to reply "That's not what they're called!".
It's time to let this go, though, bc TIL the spec lives at "/css-variables". 😂

It lets you update an item, copies the rest, and provides a new array reference!
It works in all browsers, too! 🎉
