Today, a random stranger was passing by while I was trying to clear out the plow line at the end of my driveway, with a shovel and blower. They had a plow on their truck and plowed me out, saving me hours and days of work.

My teammates are wonderful though, along with all of the people I work with across the company. Especially our cloud infra/devops team who I work with directly almost every day.

Today, my team was merged with 2 other teams bringing our total to 10, but also bringing all of these slightly related responsibilities under one umbrella.

I hope this all works out well, but I can't see beyond the horizon right now

Yesterday, my company let go of one of our team members, bringing us down to 3 people. A year ago our team numbered 9, along with a team of 3-4 contractors writing alongside us. Since then, we've hired some, some have left for other opportunities, some have been let go, and some have been moved to other teams.

The workload hasn't meaningfully changed. In fact, I'd say it's only gotten more demanding as we onboard more of our clients to the new system our team is in charge of.
