Hey everyone, just a quick announcement: we're going to perform some administrative house keeping. This includes the following:
1. Migrating this account from Fosstodon to Floss.social on Mastodon.
2. Reorganizing the GitHub organization to get rid of inactive members and repos.
3. Reorganizing Weblate to get rid of inactive members.
We'll be getting to this pretty soon, maybe within a few hours, so just be alert in case anything breaks.

Did you know Tenacity already has cloud storage support built in? Here's how it works:
1. Save your project locally.
2. Login to the cloud storage provider of your choice.
3. Upload your project to the provider.
Now you can share your project across all your supported devices!

This is better than vcpkg already, at least so far.

We're curious to experiment with MSYS2 and Clang, and eventually MinGW cross compilation. Assuming MSYS2 has all our required build dependencies, it would be (in theory) MUCH faster to build using MSYS2 because you wouldn't need to build all of all dependencies too.
Let's see if we can make this happen...

This is @gperson here with a bit of an announcement: I may be less active with the Tenacity project because my laptop died and it may take a while until I get another one.
In the mean time, I'll try to respond to everyone as best I can, but I may remain a bit silent for a while. Hopefully you understand.

See https://codeberg.org/tenacityteam/Tenacity/pulls/527 for this criteria and general updates about the rebase. Our normal contribution policies and criteria still apply, and we are still accepting contributions like before.

We have a new one out now available on MIT's PGP key server. Its fingerprint is 59E790FEC63109BF22BD35ABEA9D8C8A6F75CB28.
We'll also provide SHA256 hashes for our releases as well in case you want a simpler way to verify releases.
My apologies for losing this key,

Well, you can look at it for the poll I guess. I should've done more research first. Sorry folks! 😅🤦

We found another Audacity fork that includes synchronized video playback (edit: it's called AudaVid). See https://mastodon.social/@micron/113706688823075741 for more details.
Should we implement this feature?
EDIT 2: Ok, maybe this isn't a fork?
EDIT 3: it is, whoops.
EDIT 4: It doesn't seem like its source code is available. That's a GPL violation right there 😅

We might have a few solutions to gripes you might have:
- Re-enabling the RMS by default.
- Re-enabling the cut, copy, and paste toolbar.
- Rearranging the track control panel to the way it was before.
What else should we do?
