Why are music apps so poor at handling Explicit content? #applemusic will show a small ‘E’ to denote that a song had explicit language, but you can’t filter those tracks out in smart playlists. #plex had no Explicit indicators at all (I’m left tagging the ‘Mood’ field of individual tracks) #roon similarly relies on user tagging. All I want is a smart playlist of ‘clean’ hip hop tracks that’s safe to play when the kids are in the car - why is this so hard!?
