I saw Mickey 17, and I enjoyed it!

Yesterday I saw Mickey 17 in the local movie theater. It is a movie by Bong Joon-ho, staring Robert Pattinson. I found it to be entertaining and funny, and I think it achieves its goal to create unpleasant taste toward political celebrities, cults, and unquestioned authority and inequality. It reminded me of playing Journey to the Savage Planet and the Outer Worlds.

This only works for apps, sadly you cannot exclude web apps of domains. Certain web sites, e.g. Microsoft Copilot, will still be broken in the web browser.

I had to listen to explosions for six hour yesterday before I fell asleep, and my wife told me they went on for another 2.5 hours! On top of that animals are freaking out for days, and also the hazards, danger, and pollution.

We bought an Epson ET-8550 photo printer, which can use different types of ink. I learned that inks need to be matched to the paper type and construction. For example, we had photo paper from a long time ago and we also bought new packs with the printer.

The sensors make both the house temperature more manageable, and the electricity bill not as high.

I recently bought an external microphone for my Sony NEX-5R. More specifically, the ECM-SST1 microphone with a proprietary connection! When I first connected it, and tested with it there was no audio with the video clips. I thought that I might have received a defective unit, so, I tested with internal microphones. Same situation. It turned out that record audio setting was set to "Off".

Enabling ad-blocking via OpenDNS has made such an improvement to my browsing experience, especially on sites where I spend money on, like eBay. As a user, with an established buying history, who regularly shops on the site, I shouldn't have to keep seeing ads, including the in-house ones. Ads are always last to load, and when they do everything shifts away from under my mouse pointer, resulting in me click on an ad!
