It's one thing to be aware that your parent is elderly and that 'any day now' something bad will happen. It's entirely another thing when it happens. #1 is in the States and coincidentally, this is when my mom has what increasingly looks like a stroke.

I've always been an advocate for people trying mindfulness exercises, meditation, even though my ADHD twitchyness has never made those anything but torturous activities for me. Just because it isn't Your Thing doesn't make it bad for others and vice versa.

So in that spirit I started a 30min dawn walk right after I wake up every morning. Let my brain come online and spin into high speed. Been 2mo and it's life changing. For me. Maybe try that if meditation doesn't 'work' for you?
