It's called Abstract Nature and is an 13 minute long Meditation on Nature and Not-Nature. I'm playing Alto on this one and did all recording and mixing myself. This was a first and I really enjoyed doing it.

I like mastodon for text and the occasional picture but I think for images and (short) videos pixelfed is a better match.

I want to make posts about what I do as a musician, about recordings and gigs. So the instance has to be OK with this kind of self promotion.

Digitale Grundbildung in der österreichischen Oberstufe ist anscheinend Unterricht in Microsoft Office. Auch was die Lehrbücher angeht. Ich kriege beim Anblick von den Menüs in Microsoft Office sowieso sofort Aggressionen. Aber: Warum liefert man sich einem Konzern aus? Muss ich jetzt einen Windowsrechner nur für die Hausübungen kaufen? Was ist mit den Alternativen? Libreoffice nie gehört? Aaargh.

I always loved Sonny Rollins sound on his album "The Bridge". On "Without a Song" it is beautiful, on the Solo break following a fabulous Jim Hall even heartbreakingly so.

His sound here differs from earlier and later recordings. I think partly because of his mouthpiece choice. Before he was mostly on Links, and after on Bergs. The Selmer Soloist he plays here somehow amplifies the beauty that was always there.
