Having played around with a few desktop clients, I'm slightly tending towards Fedistar now but honestly don't know what the difference between the "Home" and "Local" timelines are. Am I just being dense or is it obvious? Ideas welcome.

Ey oop, haven't been here for many months. Formally migrating from Xitter at last. Have there been any improvements on third party clients (and unrelatedly any analytics I don't have to pay for)? I am on Sengi on the PC which is not bad and has a strong Tweetdeck feel to it, but Ice Cubes on iOS. I tried a handful of others maybe a year or so ago but most of them were barely functional. All advice welcome. #thirdpartytool

Further to my question for a better interface either for the iPhone or desktop PC, I’m disappointed to say I’ve been through about 10, and with the exception of Ice Cubes, they were all either rubbish (some failing to load completely), or if they did work, they had some really painfully tedious interface. Still open to suggestions but I’m not paying hard cash for what is more or less a web browser.

100% recommend Ice Cubes, though.

It was the first one I came across back last year (wherever my dead profiles I can’t get into are), I haven’t been impressed by any of the other four or so I tried earlier today, and with the greatest of respect, you’re higher than a giraffe’s arse if you think I’m paying for one. Vote +1 for Ice Cubes on iOS here.
