I had a similar conversation. I was married & under 20. A friend with a history of health issues stemming from cysts on her ovaries...

I had a similar conversation. I was married & under 20.

A friend with a history of health issues stemming from cysts on her ovaries & fibroids in her uterus begged for a hysterectomy and was denied because she was *too young* to decide she didn't want to have the chance to be pregnant again.

Finally, after ANOTHER stint in the hospital due to those cysts, they removed her uterus & one ovary.
She's almost 30.
It took over 10 years to get the procedure she asked for.
