Ones that target nazis, link spam, SEO, puppy mills, etc so that they can be efficiently black-holed.

Off to Copenhagen for Einstürzende Neubauten and Gudrun Gut. I wouldn’t fly if I had an extra bit of time booked off on Monday. I never really hated flying, but it feels like such a trap in so many ways.

They had tagged two people, and when I replied, the two people they had tagged were included by default in my reply.
However, those names were highlighted so I could delete them easily, without polluting their mentions with something they might not care about.
Nice touch

Must. Relax. Breathe.

I'm removing bricks in the achtertuin a bit at a time and replacing with soil and plants.
Yesterday, for Koningsdag, I ordered more soil, fertilizer, mulch, more pots for tomatoes and hot peppers in need of homes.
This garden thing is all pretty new to me, and trying to do it in Dutch is a whole other thing.

I'm half expecting to see that I'll soon be able to choose my favorite eight people to display on my profile. Or that the entire system is just a giant MUD and I haven't been around long enough to work out how to cast spells.

A long time ago, I installed Linux from floppies I downloaded on a dial-up modem and imaged one by one for weeks.
Wiped my hard drive, and started running Linux. Blind. I knew about 'man' and that was about it.
The stress of that really pushed me forward, just prior to the Internet really starting to catch on with the public. I ended up dropping out of CS to work.

Mijn Nederlands is op zijn best slecht. The kid though is functionally fluent now.
Dutch people always ask "You moved? From Canada? WHY?"
They know nothing of pedestrian deaths, of unaffordable housing, of living above a drunken gun nut, etc.
Oh, Amsterdam is unaffordable at its core, but we own a house 15 min by train from Amsterdam Centraal. We bike. Kid bikes to school solo.

It took a minute to notice the reply box is off to the left side in the web interface.
The box I was typing in was the "NOTE" field under the user's bio.
So, I could put notes on, say, where I met the person? Nice touch.
