3.6.2023 09:52some good dancing too :)Played in my first jazz jam last night at a swing dance event. Very different to folk sessions, firstly things aren't always in D or G major. Had to tune down a tone so I could use my sop sax friend's lead sheets which was exciting. Definitely way out of comfort zone. I enjoyed it though! 🎸🎷🎺

Absolute...One reason I'm attracted to them is that they often do worldbuilding in really few words and its quite amazing. They also often distil some core sf-ional ideas that were more common in science romances of the early 20th cent. So that's fun to consider.
