Wow. Republicans in the US Congress passed a procedural measure that prevents congress from voting to stop the 'national emergency' which was used by Trump to enact tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China by literally **redefining** what a calendar day is.

Normally, a vote by congress is required within 18 calendar days (15 days until committee meeting + 3 days until vote) after a national emergency is introduced, but this new measure defines that until the **end of this year** days will not be considered calendar days (but only for that one law).

True Eigong really is a beast. The fight is really fun though and feels like a dance. The further I get, the more and more the attacks in the earlier phases are easily parried or dodged, and the only life I lose comes from imperfect execution.

I can consistently beat phases 1 and 2 now, and I'm starting to get the hang of the full screen sword swipes in phase 3, but still get comboed to death by full screen sword + talisman attack afterwards.

It's not gonna take much longer until I finally have her done though.

I just noticed that the Wayland ext-image-copy-capture-v1 protocol allows a client to get the current cursor position on an output via the ext_image_copy_capture_cursor_session_v1::position event.

It's a roundabout and hacky way to get the mouse coordinates, but it technically works. This could potentially be used to implement fun stuff that previously wasn't easily possible on Wayland and required X11, like X11 oneko.

Played the new Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom today, and it's amazing! It feels a lot like a fusion of the Breath of the Wild style Zelda games and A Link Between Worlds. It's a bit less open than BOTW (some walls are infinitely high, some too high for your current skillset), but still quite open, and gives you much more options to solve puzzles or kill enemies (even bosses!) with.

I just started playing #MetroidPrime3 on @dolphin today and I must say, it's amazing! I'm using the #primehack patchset on top of the latest dolphin release, along with a UI patch to actually display the keys instead of buttons, and the controls feel like they were always meant to be this way!

I played the GameCube edition for Prime 1 and 2 on Dolphin as well, and they also played fine, but Prime 3 is even better. Great job everyone!

Coming from Sway I can only say that it feels better to me than Hyprland does. Depending on how things go I can potentially even see myself switching to Cosmic in the future after years of only using WMs like Sway and i3.
