One thing I noticed is that, while scanning, there would be nothing and then TONS of eligible files. I was curious as to what folder was currently being scanned. Perhaps that's something that could be added to the UI somewhere? (I know it'd flicker, but figured I'd mention it).

You've already done a load of laundry follow-up, but I figured I'd toss one more thing in the wash: I was surprised to learn that Darn Tough wool socks suggest washing inside-out:

> Before washing your socks, turn them inside out. This is especially important for socks that have cushioning, which is created by terry loops. A lot of debris and dirt can get caught in those loops.

So, if @siracusa wears cushioned socks, you can stop turning those.
