Good news: my solar panel battery has arrived and seems to work just fine.

Bad news: I can't get my Framework 13 to priorize power from the USB-C port connected to the battery, over the one connected to the monitor. :(

I tried to search for options in both the BIOS of the Framework and monitor's settings but couldn't find anything I could use for this. :(

There are plenty of alternatives to Microsoft's tools. Stop annoying everyone with your "unique" takes on AI tools. It's getting super tiring, super fast. I would like to read more about your cool new projects.

I'll try the very strange workaround mentioned in the last comment but given this serious issue has been completely ignored for years, I think I should stop using flatpak. Life is too short for being blocked by relying on unmaintained software.. even if you really want the said software to be a huge success story. :(

~~Even ignoring everything else, being able to use ctrl+c for copying and never having to use ctrl+shift+v (instead of ctrl+v) is already a huge quality of life improvement.~~

**Edit:** Turns out the ctrl+c awesomeness is coming from fish, not ptyxis. Ptyxis has many other great qualities though. :)

Apart from other modern software I'm switching to recently, I have also been trying @zed since yesterday. While there are some quirks here and there, the Linux version seems to have come a long way and I think I can switch from vscode (and vim for quick edits) to #Zed now.

I think built-in streamlined support for essentials (Rust, Markdown, git, vim mode etc) is the best part for me. There are also extensions for things that are not built-in but so far I have not needed to install any. With vscode, I had to install at least 5 extensions from the beginning to make it usable for me.

The best thing is it's fully open source and written entirely in Rust. The latter probably explains why it's the first Editor/IDE I tried in its infancy that doesn't crash randomly all the time (e.g like Anjuta or GNOME Builder used to) or slow (like the Java-based IDEs).

The new Agentic Editing feature is pretty cool too, when it works (the success depends entirely on the model though but I think the UI needs polish): https://zed.dev/agentic

but for some reason it doesn't work for me. Perhaps it's somehow not supposed to work on gnome-terminal? Maybe it's time I also move away from gnome-terminal as well. 🤔
