5.12.2024 17:40Well then. Time to update some protocols.https://tuta.com/blog/china-salt-typhoon-worst-us-hackFair criticisms here. I've certainly abused ZeroVer in a few of the projects I maintain, but I also never know when to leave it either, so some projects have been in production for years and very stable despite that. Perhaps I need to push past that behaviour.

They could very easily have a positive impact on food desert issues in small communities (in the short term).

Just upgraded my T430 to KDE Plasma 6 with Wayland on Void Linux. Smooth UI. Monitor-independent scaling. Runs really well. Now I just wish the widgets I like get ported.

I'm exhausted, but I have stories for quite some time. I managed to log a good chunk of it, so I'll be adding this to a personal blog, I think. Will be starting something up soon.

I've already configured a few devices to use it once I buy some credit for it. I previously used NordVPN (their YouTube promoter game is strong), but after reading more about VPNs, I figured I needed something new.
Also, from time to time I use a Windows machine and decided to clean it up and install my stack of Open Source stuff on it on it. Discovered https://privacy.sexy for running scripts generated for Windows, Linux, and macOS that can do things like removing bloatware and disabling/uninstalling annoying proprietary services and features. I've noticed my boot time has been cut in half, and I no longer have random scripts running on login. Awesome project!

I've been cleaning up my digital footprint for around two months now, moving things to more secure services, and I'm finally starting to see progress.
The next phase is to archive my email accounts and get something more secure (mailbox.org?). Still planning to chronicle this as an extensive blog post once I'm done.

I'm not looking forward to cleaning out my Google Drive/Docs and my Dropbox. I really should chronicle this in a blog post to show how this can all be done.
