I'm at a tournament this weekend for a game that I used to play but never left the community for. I used to think I had to contribute something to the community or I wouldnt be accepted in it, like playing the game or fixing controllers or something. Last night and the night before has made me feel so much better about just being myself and not worrying about being good at this thing that everyone seems to be great at; its OK to just hang out with your friendsat a cool event. This being the largest queer event I've been to also helps, I got my nails painted for the first time in my life yesterday and it felt great.

I think I really needed this one.

"intel" ax201 installed in the #thinkpad. getting to the point where its as upgraded as it can be in terms of hardware, except for an ultrabase with a cd/dvd drive to make it a #thickpad. now its software mods mostly, still need to figure out how to get my modem out of QMI mode so i can get the NMEA sentences back on a distinct port so that it can play well with gpsd. if i cant do that i still have other options. might go crazy with the internal usb port mod and embed my nooelec nano in there and install an antenna port on the side. thinkpads really are the past, present, and future of computing

looks like we're in business with coreboot now, just need to get gps working (already have a fix, I just need to get it to speak with navit) and everything will be good to go. my wireless adapter was actually working the whole time and I just had to reconnect, but i didnt realize before I bought the replacement adapter... eugh. at least I get ax wifi when that comes in so that will be cool. this thing gets better by the minute

I'm sure ill find the limitations soon enough but for now this is great. paring down even further in preparation for those atom systems I want to build.

got toot running on the thinkpad haktop, things are going well. its been fun so far to get everything running on this machine as much from the terminal as possible. it has the horsepower to actually run everything in graphical environments and all that but i just like how snappy all the command line tools are. now its a matter of adding the cool networking hardware to get me online on cellular and we're just a bit closer to getting crazy
