A few more modifications and a slightly better presentation for this furry little guy made in #b3d. #Blender3D has so many little nooks & crannies you can get lost in.

But now...now you're getting the hang of it. Hair in #b3d. Still frustrating, but slightly more fun. Progress.

Nothing here is finished (inc the sculpt), but after literal days of messing around, I'm finally making headway & figuring out the #b3d quirks & solutions to them.
Side note, it's amazing how much "life" a little fur can add.

Proportions still need tweaking, but I also plan to cover this guy in fur and medieval garb (blacksmith or warrior, maybe?). Since those will likely hide a lot, I may just take a shortcut in that direction. Plus, I'm looking forward to playing with #b3d fur and cloth!

And since I've always been fascinated by digitigrades, I've been going down that rabbit hole. Early stages, but I think making digitigrades look balanced might be tricky.
Looking forward to sculpting in #b3d.

A few more test renders from my #blender3d procedural planet experiments.
Getting a better grasp on things & learning lots! Especially how easy it is to break the illusion of proper scale when you design things procedurally at a planetary scale.
Lots of #b3d fun though!

A few more flawed, but interesting test renders from my recent exploration into procedural planets made in #blender3d
Still working on everything except the atmosphere (this excludes the cloud layer), which I'm pretty content with. Can you believe this is just a 2m sphere?

Some more experimenting in the #blender3d procedural planet rabbit hole.
I'm running into plenty of issues (clouds, realism & scaling control, displacement control, color control...), but still pleased with my progress. I love this kind of exploring because it really prompts one to learn so much while overcoming issues. And, in this case, there are an infinite number of ways to do things and infinite looks, from realistic to cartoony, that one can get in #b3d

So I jumped down a procedural planet making rabbit hole in #b3d (applying a combination of different techniques I've seen by others).
There are currently lots of fun technical & artistic issues to overcome here (too "flat", not enough color variation, weather patterns, volume banding issues to name a few...), but I figured I'd start sharing my progress.

For example, cell fracture extension reads "0.00" for the margin, but it isn't actually "zero", it's "0.001" and not visible until you click on it.
For those who work at real world scale (vs those who base their scale off of Blender's enormous default objects), this can make a difference.
