So with great trepidation i took apart my steam deck, replaced the shoulder button, and managed to reassemble it back together! And...

Pretty sure the part i needed to replace is the button circuitry and not the button mechanism. And it doesn't seem like the part i need is available, boooo.

So now i either get used to the defective button, pay $150 for Valve to repair it, or just buy a new one. Hurmph.

Tried to draw a trivial one (https://tinyurl.com/4w52su5y), without any bridge crossings to worry about -- but I can't seem to say "the total number of bridges on an island should not exceed the defined limit".

Am I holding it wrong, or is this not possible on a fundamental level?

- game refused to start. apparently due to a driver update issue, took ~3h to debug
- took about 1h to figure out some sort of voice chat system that 3 (computer literate!) people can use
- my steam deck refused to connect to the dock (so i couldn't use it to play my game 😭 )

I'm giving up on building a platform orbiting aquillo, it just keeps getting pummeled before i can set up defenses on it.

Instead I'll just build a second ship capable of getting there and repurpose it in orbit.
