Hi folks! I’m starting at UPenn in Fall 2023, and I’m looking for students to join my research group! My research is broadly in applied cryptography, with a focus on efficient zero-knowledge proofs and MPC. If you’re interested, please reach out, or apply at https://www.applyweb.com/upenng/index.ftl.

E.g. spawning tasks on to a rayon threadpool, as opposed to a tokio threadpool or a async-std threadpool

It's really light weight. It's also a static website, so it would be cool if it could just be hosted on, e.g, github pages. Does anyone have experience with this?

In Rust `1 << m - n ` equals `1 << (m - n)`, and not `(1 << m) - n`.
To me shifts are kind of like mul/divs by powers of two, so the precedence seems off.

Things like QTs not displaying by default (requiring a click-through), no algorithmic feed, the semi-isolation between instances, etc.
Makes using social media a slower and more thoughtful experience.

I'm Pratyush. I enjoy doing #cryptography, writing #Rust, and baking savoury breads. I work on the theory and practice of zero knowledge proofs.
I recently completed my PhD in cryptography at UC Berkeley. I am currently a cryptographer at Aleo. I will be starting as an Assistant Professor at UPenn next fall (if you're looking to start a PhD in applied crypto, please apply! We have a strong crypto group =))

$5 + 3 = 8$
Apparently not =(
The mathstodon.xyz instance has LaTeX support, would be lovely to have that here!
